In 1981, when Earl and Larry established E & L Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., they would frequently say, “If this were my home I would…” when planning for or performing service and installations. The statement made answers simple for questions like: Should we push extremely efficient (yet costly) air conditioners to improve our bottom line or stop worrying about aesthetics, using drop cloths and meticulously cleaning? Answer: “If this were my home I would spend money wisely and be proud of the investment”.
